Job Title:   IT Risk Specialist  

Reporting to:   Head of Risk 

Location:   Eastpoint Business Park, Dublin  

 

Overall Job Purpose 

 

Reporting to the Head of Risk, the IT Risk Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of the risk management framework throughout Majorel's IT Department. The IT Risk Specialist will support the implementation of IT risk management activities across multiple countries and sites. The role will include ensuring that IT risk management processes are in place and working with key IT stakeholders to facilitate the embedding of these processes across Majorel Regions. The IT Risk Specialist will also be responsible for the ongoing review and challenge of IT risk framework effectiveness and the implementation of IT risk management best practice. The IT Risk Specialist is a key point of contact for risk reporting to the relevant Risk Management Committees and the Board, for ad hoc incident reporting and for the escalation of significant risk events. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

 

Managing Relationships 

  • Support and guide key IT stakeholders in implementing Majorel's risk framework within the global IT department 
  • Manage the relationship with local IT representatives 

 

Managing Process and Administration 

  • Lead and facilitate the assessment, documentation and implementation of the Majorel risk management framework within the global IT organisation
  • Analyse data and documentation to understand potential risks to IT operational systems & processes 
  • Perform detailed reviews of IT risk management processes, including reviews of controls and effectiveness 
  • Review and assess IT risks identified or reported by the business in-line with process and assist the business in defining and agreeing remedial action where required 
  • Prepare and collate detailed structured reports on IT risk management performance 
  • Challenge and review IT risks and controls, recommending and agreeing remedial action where required 

 

Maintaining Operational and Company Standards 

  • Oversight of IT risk mitigation action plans 
  • Review IT controls for effectiveness and assess IT Risk deliverables 
  • Promote the best interests of the company at all times
  • Support the organisations goals and values 
  • Encourage and drive quality and continuous improvement of processes used across the business 
  • Follow Company policies and procedures 

 

People 

  • Assisting IT Management in discussions about IT risks 
  • Carry out IT risk training that encourages and drives quality and continuous improvement of processes within the team

  • Work closely with counterparts in the Audit, Compliance, Information Security and Data Protection teams

Essential Qualifications, Training and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent  
  • 3 years’ experience in risk or IT disciplines  
  • Education and experience in risk or IT related disciplines, e.g. quality systems, quality controls, IT controls Strong technical background in IT and proficient in the design and review of controls.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills  
  • Ability to analyse, present and report IT risk data to senior stakeholders  
  • Ability to respond and challenge at senior/executive level  
  • Ability to adapt and respond to change  
  • Ability to understand and articulate the benefits of effective IT risk management  
  • This is a global role and will require up to 30% travel, depending on business demands 

 

Desirable Qualifications, Training and Experience 

  • Experience in a CRM/BPO customer experience business is a distinct advantage  
  • IRM, CRISC or other risk qualification  
  • Experience in one or more of the compliance and controls standards: COBIT, ITIL, MOF, CSA, COSO, CMMI · Experience in implementing IT risk management policies and processes  
  • Understanding of Risk Management frameworks and internal controls design and evaluation methods 
  • Fluency in one or more of the following languages: German/French/Spanish/Arabic/Chinese
