Lead Shipping Receiving Clerk
Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting in managing and maintaining inventory. This individual will also maintain department records for inventory, tracking, shipping and receiving orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Contributes to and follows operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
* Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment. Makes appropriate suggestions for corrective actions.
* Prepares work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
* Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehousing activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
* Maintain ingredients and material in a First In First Out basis (FIFO)
* Maintains files for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
* Ensures effective safety procedures, tools and record keeping are managed through site leadership.
* Adheres to company GMP’s (good manufacturing practices), safety procedures and all other quality processes.
* Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required.
* All other duties as assigned.
* Orders all packaging supplies and ensure Purchase orders created for each order.

Education:
High school or equivalent required. A degree is preferred.
Experience:
One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices is beneficial. Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills. Ability to create momentum and foster organizational change. Bilingual in Spanish is beneficial. Must have a working knowledge of MS Word and MS PowerPoint software, and be proficient with MS Excel software. Experience with Oracle is beneficial.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Approximately; 30% of work is performed in an office environment. 70% of work may involve being in the agricultural or manufacturing environment.
